Quick Morning Routine to Wake Up Fast

Energize Your Day with a Quick

Morning Stretch Routine

If you're not a 'Morning Person' and waking up and getting moving is rough, here is a quick routine to help you Wake Up & Glow.

Ready to awaken your body, clear your mind, and set positive energy in motion? This refreshing morning routine is designed to invigorate your senses, loosen sore muscles, and get your energy flowing with simple tools and mindful movement. Let’s dive in:

  1. Clear the Air with Frosted Peppermint Spray Begin by spritzing a Frosted Peppermint Spray into the air around you. Take a few deep, energizing breaths, letting the cooling, minty scent awaken your senses. Feel the crisp, refreshing air fill your lungs and sharpen your focus.
  2. Awaken Your Skin with Dry Brushing Next, grab your dry brush and gently sweep it all over your body. Dry brushing helps stimulate your circulation and opens your pores. Use light, swift strokes, starting from your feet and moving upward, always brushing towards your heart. This will leave you feeling refreshed and alert.
  3. Soothe Muscles with On the Mend Oil Spray some On the Mend oil into your palms. Rub your hands together, inhale deeply, and let the soothing aroma ground you. Slowly massage the oil into any tight or sore areas, easing tension and inviting relaxation into your muscles. This step helps promote healing and recovery, especially if you've had a tough workout recently.
  4. Massage with a Salt Stone Follow up by using a salt stone on those sore spots. The gentle pressure and mineral-rich properties of the salt stone help soothe inflammation and further relax your muscles. Take your time to focus on any areas that feel particularly tense.
  5. Body Rolling with Wood Sculpting Tools or Foam Roller Get your energy flowing by using a wood sculpting tool or foam roller for a few minutes. Roll out any tightness and tension in your legs, back, and shoulders, focusing on loosening up connective tissue. This will not only relieve sore muscles but also enhance blood flow and mobility.
  6. Quick Yoga Flow Now that your body is prepped, continue the energy flow with a quick yoga routine. Focus on movements like sun salutations, downward dogs, and gentle twists. This will stretch and elongate your muscles, and leave you feeling open and aligned for the day ahead.

Use this yoga flow with energizing breathwork to get things moving in the morning.

Forward Fold:

Begin the sequence by standing at the top of your mat with your feet hip-width apart. Inhale deeply, lengthen your spine, and as you exhale, hinge at your hips, folding forward with a straight back. Allow your head and neck to relax. If your hands don't reach the floor, you can bend your knees slightly. Hold this pose for 3-5 breaths, letting gravity gently stretch your hamstrings and lower back.

Downward Facing Dog :

Step both hands forward and plant them firmly on the mat, shoulder-width apart. Step your feet back, keeping them hip-width apart. Lift your hips toward the ceiling, creating an inverted V shape with your body. Press your palms and heels firmly into the ground as you lengthen your spine. Take 3-5 deep breaths here, feeling the stretch in your hamstrings and calves, while also grounding through your hands.

Cat-Cow Stretch :

From Downward Facing Dog, gently lower your knees to the mat and come into a tabletop position. Align your wrists under your shoulders and your knees under your hips. As you inhale, arch your back, lift your head and tailbone towards the ceiling (Cow Pose). As you exhale, round your back, tuck your chin to your chest, and draw your navel in (Cat Pose). Flow smoothly between these two poses for 3-5 breaths, massaging your spine and awakening your core.

Child's Pose :

From Cat-Cow Stretch, sit back on your heels, extend your arms forward, and lower your forehead to the mat. Rest your hips on your heels and allow your body to relax. Breathe deeply and surrender to the comforting embrace of Child's Pose. Feel the gentle stretch along your spine and the release of tension in your shoulders and back.

Downward Facing Dog :

Press into your palms, tuck your toes, and lift your hips back up to Downward Facing Dog. Take a few breaths here, noticing any changes in your body after transitioning from Child's Pose.

Walking back to Standing Position:

From Downward Facing Dog, slowly walk your feet towards your hands until you arrive in a forward fold. Inhale, engage your core, and rise up to a standing position, extending your arms overhead. Root down through your feet, lengthen your spine, and lift your chest. Feel the energy and rejuvenation in your body as you stand tall and proud.
