Simple Jane has always used hemp-derived CBD in our topical products. By nature, hemp-derived CBD contains less than 0.03% THC...it's simply biology!

We are SO committed to the integrity of our CBD, which is why all our CBD is third-party tested THREE times in the process to ensure it is free of pesticides, herbicides, heavy metals, fungal and any other contaminants.

We use pure CBD isolate in all our topical products. We incorporate broad-spectrum CBD into our On The Mend formula. Contrary to a lot of popular opinion, science stands behind the fact that CBD isolate is the ideal delivery in topical products in a recent panel conducted with CBD isolate in skincare products. It was proven in clinical trials to work through your CB1 and CB2 receptors in your skin to signal over 150 genes that translate through your skin and range in benefits from pain relief, reducing inflammation, wound healing, anti-aging and more. Behind Simple Jane is mother-daughter team Angella & Chelsea Hamilton, who co-founded the company in 2016.

Orders placed Monday-Saturday are packaged the next day and will arrive to you via Priority USPS, which is typically 1-3 business days once shipped.

Simple Jane products are preservative-free with natural ingredients. This means they have a shelf life! We recommend keeping your products out of areas of direct-sunlight or with a lot of humidity as this can oxidize the essential oils in the product and lead to discoloration.

The discoloration is not harmful, and the product may still be used. However, for highest potency and efficacy, we suggest using your products within 3-4 months of purchase for best results.

We suggest the you use your Simple Jane products within 3-4 months of purchase. Because our products contain no preservatives, they are most effective when used sooner than later! This ensures that the CBD is delivering its highest efficacy and the essential oils maintain their integrity as well. Over time, the product will be fine to continue using, but you may not experience the same results after 6+ months. Our products are made for daily use, so use generously!

Be sure to keep your products out of direct sunlight and heat as this may also change their color and direct sunlight through our glass bottles may degrade the CBD.

Some quick tips:

1. Don't submerge it in water! It will erode quickly. Himalayan Salt is naturally antimicrobial and does not need to be washed. If you really feel you must, wipe it down with a damp (NOT WET) cloth after use.
2. Keep it somewhere dry (ie. the bathroom might not be a good place since the humidity will make it sweat! Try by your bedside for a little nightly self-massage.
3. ALWAYS use with a barrier oil like On The Mend or Plain Jane CBD Massage Oils. Just rubbing the salt stone on your body will pull up toxins and may cause a rash. We warned ya! Apply any Simple Jane oil or balm generously and use the Salt Stone to massage your products in.
4. For cooling relief (especially great in the summer!) keep your stone on a dry towel in the fridge and use with On The Mend .

We purposefully choose glass and paper packaging for our products to avoid plastic! Not only are we always on the search for more sustainable packaging items, this has an important role to play with CBD products. CBD products that are packaged in plastic may leach to the plastic and lessen the efficacy of your products.

We unfortunately cannot take back any of your glass bottles, but we encourage you to reuse them! In fact, our On The Mend and Plain Jane Bath Soaks are packaged in a food-grade bottle already, so you can wash and reuse for your cold brew, fresh juice or water bottle.

If you need some ideas on how to reuse your glass spray bottles, here' what we recommend: 

*Add witch hazel and rose water to your 4 oz bottles for a refreshing face spritz

*Combine your favorite essential oils and water to make a refreshing room mist

All of our topical products contain triple-tested CBD to ensure that they are THC-free. The products are designed for daily use and dosed as such. We are NOT medical doctors and recommend that you always check with a doctor before adding a CBD product to your wellness routine if you have pre-existing conditions or changes in pregnancy.

Here's what we will say: these are products we would personally and anecdotally feel confident using while pregnant to ease inflammation, back pain, massage onto tired muscles and soak in our warm mineral soaks to relieve your body naturally. But that is always a conversation to have with your doctor/midwife when that time comes!
